I can’t tell you how often I hear these words. Maybe you’ve said them yourself. The truth is, many of the struggles people face with meditation come from a misunderstanding of what meditation actually is. This course is designed to demystify meditation by returning to the perspective of Yoga.
What makes yoga’s approach to meditation unique is that it doesn’t see meditation as an isolated act. Instead, it’s part of a complete system that prepares the body, breath, and mind so meditation feels natural, not forced. Rather than sitting down and “failing” at quieting the mind, you’ll learn how to support yourself with the right tools, techniques, and preparation.
And beyond that—yoga uses meditation as more than just a practice. It becomes a tool for transformation: for cultivating self-awareness, breaking free from unhelpful patterns, and meeting life’s challenges with greater steadiness and compassion.
In this 6-week course, you will explore:
What makes meditation in the yoga tradition unique
How meditation actually works (beyond the myths)
Best practices for preparing the mind for meditation
Simple, guided meditation practices you can return to again and again
How meditation supports balance, focus, resilience, and growth in daily life
WHEN
This 6-week course runs from October 9th - November 13th, 2025. We will meet live online via Zoom every Thursday from 5:30-6:30PM PST. All sessions will be recorded and made available for 1 full year.
