Balance All the Pushing: Yoga for Your Pulling Muscles (Lats & Upper Back)

In so many yoga classes, we’re pushing: pushing the floor away, pushing the ceiling up, pushing the walls out. In this practice, we balance that out. This class focuses on the pulling muscles of the back body — especially the latissimus dorsi, the broad muscles that run from the back of your armpits toward the pelvis.
